February 6th, 2004Mirrors Redux
Know that the whole world is a mirror, in each atom are found a hundred blazing suns. If you split the center of a single drop of water, a hundred pure oceans spring forth. If you examine each particle of dust, a thousand Adams can be seen. A universe lies hidden in a grain of millet, everything is brought together at the point of the present…. Each point, as it revolves in a circle, is at times a circle, at others a turning circumference.
Mahmud Shabestari, Iran, 14th c. Sufi poet
Some of you will recognize this as DeBroglie’s Wave-Particle Duality theory, one of the major building blocks of modern physics theory. It is also an expression of Parallax. Whether we see the point on the circumference or we see the circumference (wave) depends on how we’re looking.
Higher dimensional space becomes the last refuge for mystics, cranks, and characters.
Machio Kaku, 20th c. physicist
Kaku proposes that higher level geometry may be the unifying force that physicists are seeking. Geometry is about the relationship between the discreet things/points rather than being about the things themselves. We’ve been living in a three dimensional world focused on the separation and differences between things/people/cultures; seeing symptoms without dealing with the whole being or the interaction between the being and its environment. Physics and mysticism continue to close their gap. The more we focus on relationship and how we’re alike or responsible to all, the closer we come to living in the fourth dimensional world.
This realization is often termed “enlightenment”. When we realize that everything “out there” is “in here” and vice versa (as in It’s All Done With Mirrors), there is an embodied awareness of the ancient spiritual teaching that we are all One. It changes how we approach everything and everyone from that moment forward. We realize that every thought we have and every action we take affects not only us and the other person or object but also everything we or they come in contact with from that moment on. One of the reasons strong Pisces types have a hard time taking action is because, as the last sign in the zodiac, they are very aware of the consequences of all previous actions; and by their very nature they are very aware of the relationship between people and things. They have the most permeable boundaries, giving them access to other dimensions. Many mystics, Einstein included, have strong Pisces energy.
In past newsletters I’ve referred to the need to choose love rather than fear, and made reference to how difficult that is to do when bombarded with fear messages on a daily basis. It’s a choice we must make daily. In order to heal the world we must heal ourselves. If we see others as the enemy we’re engaging in separatist/dualistic thinking. If we want the world around us to change, we must change our internal climate. Not by judging ourselves, but by loving and forgiving ourselves. Only by being kind to ourselves can we be truly kind to others.
In Stalking The Wild Pendulum, EP Dutton, 1977, Itzhok Bentov uses entrainment as an example of the Oneness principle. He refers to a roomful of grandfather clocks all wound at different times and oscillating at different speeds. In short order their pendulums will all be swinging together. He also gives the example of a violin placed on a table, untouched, with another violin held and played by the experimenter. If one plucks a string on the held violin, the same string will vibrate on the violin on the table. This is a wonderful book on consciousness for those of you interested in reading further.
We are that violin. If we want to influence the music of the world, it’s vital that we keep our own “instrument” in tune. This means monitoring our thoughts, eating well, connecting with nature, taking time for some form of meditation/quiet time every single day. One practice that’s very helpful is starting the day with a dedication. “Today I will…” and reminding ourselves of that thought throughout the day. It’s very important at this point in time to stay in touch with our highest good. We are truly in the dying stages of the old authoritarian/separatist/fear-bound paradigm. And I liken it to a drowning person who will pull you under and climb over you in their panic to catch a breath of air. Co-dependency and the “saving/fixing” mentality are not the answer; they imply a “better than” approach to the other’s life, and are therefore part of the dying order. If we keep our own instrument finely tuned we will literally vibrate at a higher frequency, affecting everyone and everything in our environment.
Personal
I’m personally experiencing the energetic shift as a pull inward, very much like what I went through in the early 1980’s when I started studying astrology. At that point in time I was literally introduced to beings in other dimensions and was given information about social/cultural/geological changes. Like most mystics and fools much of my work then and now was in the realms that Kaku speaks of. As many of you know much of my work is non-income producing, and I’m at a point where I need to change something in order to bring the work to fruition. If this newsletter is of value to you and you can make a contribution to support it, on any level, I would be more appreciative than I can tell you. And if any of you would be interested in investing in my book, Developmental Astrology, I would love to have you be part of the project. I have been working on this book, based on my own teachings, for twenty years. And I am in the final stretch - starting to compile chapters. I’m offering an investment program: for each $3,000 of support you will receive 1% of my proceeds on the sale of the book, in perpetuity. Please call if you have any questions. And if you want to support either the newsletter or the book you can do so with a charge card on the web site www.lynnwilson.net or by sending a check to the post office box in Austin.
Thanks for all of your support and kind words.
Much love - Lynn
